Argus McGrowen & the Purple Box Program

We are pleased to welcome a new character to the TERRA family, Argus McGrowen. Argus is our Green Ambassador and he is here to remind us all of the small acts of green that we can make in our everyday lives. From rain-barrels to recycling every little bit helps, and at TERRA we are pleased to work with our customers to make a difference. Look for Argus on the TERRA Purple Bin and help us recycle horticultural waste.

TERRA is one of the first retail garden centres to implement full scale recycling of all our pots and trays and we thank all of our customers for embracing the Purple Bin Program. Argus is pleased to announce that by the end of November 2010 we have been able to divert over 81,819 kg (more than 180,000 lbs) of horticultural plastic from our landfills. Now that is something to be proud of.
