Our Burlington location has an immediate opening for a Department Manager.  As the Department Manager, you will be responsible for the retail experience of the entire department.  You will improve and maintain the sales floor by inspiring your team, managing product flow, pricing and merchandising of all Nursery products.  You will work in close collaboration with the Purchasing, Marketing and Retail Store Management teams to positively support TERRA's policies, programs and initiatives.

The Department Manager is responsible for supervising the daily operational activities of their team by coaching, training, recruiting, scheduling, ensuring compliance in all aspects of Health and Safety and performance management.

ASSISTANT HEAD CASHIER

As the Assistant Head Cashier, this position is responsible for supporting the Head Cashier in all aspects of the Cashiers, Customer Service area including the presentation of these areas. Reporting to the Head Cashier, you will support the cashiers and retail sales team utilizing your strong organizational skills to deliver prompt excellent internal and external customer service. Some administrative duties will form a portion of your responsibilities.

The successful candidate will:

Acknowledge and greet internal and external customers in a professional manner
Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, accuracy and customer service
Provide ongoing feedback as you train new Cashiers
Lead as you supervise the Cash Team
Provide knowledgeable and helpful service in all areas of the store as needed
Possess effective communication skills with a proven ability to develop a positive rapport with all staff
Be alert to problem situations and communicate with managers for resolution
Enforce adherence to all health and safety practices.
Must be bondable.
