Attracting Butterflies & Birds

Attracting birds and butterflies to the garden is rewarding.  Their beauty and activity in the garden add life and movement to the landscape.  By planting perennials, shrubs and trees which provide them with their preferred food and shelter, you can attract many different species to your yard.  Try planting a variety of different plants that offer berries, seeds, nectar, and shelter for birds and butterflies, and consider providing a source of water, such as a birdbath or pond, for drinking and bathing.
