Groundcovers
Groundcovers are low growing, spreading plants that can be used to fill in spaces, retain slopes, and line paths. Groundcovers can also act as living mulch, forming a dense mat that weed seeds can’t penetrate. They can help to cool the soil around other plants and can help to visually connect garden areas.
Groundcovers are great alternatives to turfgrass in difficult conditions; many are extremely tough and will thrive where other plants fail.

These groundcovers are extremely vigorous growers; they will survive almost any soil, quickly covering flat and sloped ground. If you decide to use them, plant with caution as they can be invasive.
