Rabbit Resistant Plants

Rabbits may be cute, but they can wreak havoc on your garden!  Rabbits can eat plants right to the ground, leaving your garden nothing but little stumps of vegetation.  Planting rabbit-resistant plants is one of the best things you can do if you garden in a rabbit-populated area.

In the winter, tree guards are a great way to reduce winter damage on young trees.  During the growing season, try sprinkling blood meal or a synthetic animal repellent around non-edible plants to discourage rabbits.  When all else fails, a physical barrier such as a fence can provide excellent defense.
