Begonia maculata

Well hello there, gorgeous! Begonia maculata is the gateway Begonia… once you decide to grow this plant in your home, you’re down a beautiful rabbit hole of growing indoor Begonias!

This cane Begonia from the rainforests of Brazil has arching branches of silver-spotted, elongated leaves with velvety red undersides. In ideal conditions, Begonia maculata will occasionally produce lightly fragrant clusters of white or soft pink blooms.

To grow Begonia maculata indoors, place in bright, indirect light. Providing extra humidity is highly recommended for this plant. Boost humidity by misting regularly, grouping plants together, using a pebble tray, or adding a small humidifier to your houseplant area. Aim to keep soil lightly moist, allowing the surface to dry somewhat between waterings. Ensure excess water always drains away, and always plant in an indoor potting mix with great drainage. When the plant is actively growing, provide regular feedings with an indoor plant food.

This plant is sold in a 6″ grower pot.
