How do you choose a plant to take home? That IS the question! At TERRA, we’ve curated a special selection of unique & on trend tropical plants that are worthy of any plant collector’s wish list. Sometimes they’re new varieties or in-demand releases. Sometimes they’re weird and wonderful. Sometimes they’re hard-to-find plants that we’ve managed to score in small quantities. They’re all fun to discover and explore… so we’re calling them Tropical Treasures. You can find them in our store locations in in our online shop. Here are just a few of our current favourites, available now.

Alocasia macrorrhiza ‘Camouflage’

Alocasia macrorrhiza ‘Camouflage’ is a vibrantly-variegated cultivar, prized for it’s large, heart-shaped leaves in splashed combinations of white, cream, and every shade of green.

ZZ Plant ‘Raven’

Zamioculcas zamiifolia, or the ZZ Plant, is easy to grow and offers many benefits. This variety, ZZ ‘Raven’, offers dramatic, black, shiny foliage on it’s older stems. It’s a true collector’s plant! The stems of the plant are upright, with distinctive waxy leaves. Glossy foliage newly emerges as bright green, and matures to black as it ages.

Ficus Shiveriana

In the wide world of plants, Ficus Shivereana definitely stands out. This uniquely-variegated variety of Rubber Tree is on many wish lists! With highly-speckled and splattered leaves in glossy cream, green & pink, Ficus Shivereana is certainly a plant to consider adding to your collection.

Monstera ‘Thai Constellation’

Monstera ‘Thai Constellation’ is a cultivated variety of the popular houseplant, Monstera deliciosa. This beautiful tropical plant features the iconic large, fenestrated leaves of Monstera, with striking variegation of cream and white streaks, speckles, and splotches. Developed in a lab in Thailand, this variety is created using tissue cultures, making it’s replication a slow process.

Alocasia ‘Jacklyn’

Alocasia ‘Jacklyn’ is a plant for the collector who is more than a little bit ‘extra’! Originating from Southeast Asia, this distinctive Alocasia features large, fuzzy, textured leaves in bright green with striking dark veins. Stems are streaked in burgundy and pink, and hold the leaves upright in a visually stunning display.

ZZ – Chameleon

Another ZZ Plant in the list, and it’s easy to see why. ZZ ‘Chameleon’ is a new addition, with wildly striking new growth that emerges a bright shade of chartreuse before the leaves mature to a deep, rich dark green. Contrasting venation patterns gives this plant a scaled appearance that catches attention.
